Rosewater - Turkish - Certified Organic

This rosewater comes from an exceptional grower and distiller in Turkey and has a gorgeous, bright, floral bouquet to the aroma.  You will delight endlessly in spraying it in your environment and on skin.

Roses have an emotionally uplifting and soothing quality, and are excellent for a wide range of skin needs.  Rose imparts elasticity to skin, softens, hydrates, and helps with microbial imbalances that can occur in acne, rosacea, and eczema.  This is in great part due to the trace essential oils present in the water.  Due to the distillation process no emulsifier is needed to keep the oil within the water.

There are no additives or preservatives of any kind in this hydrosol.  Please store at or below room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

Rosewater is created through the distillation process to make rose essential oil.  Rose petals are placed in water in a still, which may be a large copper vat with tubing extending off.  The water and roses are gently heated and the steam that comes off is cooled at two different temperatures, resulting in essential oil as one product and a fragrant water as the second.  A quality distiller will focus on the aroma of both byproducts as they work.

Every aspect of the growing, harvesting, and distillation matters to achieve an excellent end result.  A beautiful hydrosol is no accident.  Great skill and care are required for the total process.
